Vespa Capital becomes ARLANE and closes its third fund

08/01/2025

This independent investment fund, which has just raised €120 million, changes its name while maintaining its established investment strategy.

Led by Jean-Valmy Nicolas, Denis Leroy, and Kenza Moumni, Vespa Capital has officially changed its name to ARLANE. The fund remains true to its DNA: independence, entrepreneurship, and majority primary Small Cap LBO investments in SMEs valued between €10 million and €50 million.

This rebranding follows the successful closing of ARLANE’s third fund, reaching its initial target of €120 million. This fundraising was supported by Vespa Capital’s longstanding investors, including family offices, entrepreneurs, and former portfolio company executives. Additionally, fund-offunds and regional banks have joined to further diversify its investor base. The management team is the largest investor in this third fund, contributing €20 million.

ARLANE will continue to invest in regional SMEs with strong fundamentals and significant growth potential, both in France and internationally. The fund aims to support their development and succession projects, with a typical investment horizon of 5 to 7 years. Since its inception, the management team has delivered an annualized return of 25% (IRR).

The ARLANE team has also expanded to include two new investment directors, Sébastien Allegot and Tristan Villemin, bringing the total team size to 9 experienced professionals. Additionally, Fleur Angliviel and Alexis Aubert have been promoted to Investment Manager positions.

« The transition from Vespa Capital to ARLANE reflects the evolution of our project alongside an expanded team of passionate professionals. Our philosophy, objectives, and investment focus remain unchanged. With this third fund, ARLANE continues to build on the progress made since 2008. »
